Venezuela SU-30MK2 fighter jets intercept two US aircraft

According to the Russian website Avia.pro, SU-30MK2 fighters from Venezuela intercepted two US planes that were flying close to the country's airspace. The fighters were activated and directed to the region where the North American planes were.

According to sources, the US planes took off from Puerto Rico and flew towards the country staying close to the territory. There are no reports of the model of the aircraft, but it is believed that they are planes with a focus on electronic warfare / espionage.

When intercepted, the American pilots ignored the presence of the SU-30MK2 fighters, but after a more evident action by the Venezuelan pilot, the planes moved away from the country's airspace.

The coastal region and airspace in the region close to Venezuela is having a large presence of US vessels and planes. Not long ago, the US Department of Defense said it would send military resources to the region to neutralize drug trafficking in the region, which according to the US would be leaving Venezuela.
