When intercepted, the American pilots ignored the presence of the SU-30MK2 fighters, but after a more evident action by the Venezuelan pilot, the planes moved away from the country's airspace.
The coastal region and airspace in the region close to Venezuela is having a large presence of US vessels and planes. Not long ago, the US Department of Defense said it would send military resources to the region to neutralize drug trafficking in the region, which according to the US would be leaving Venezuela.
