She was born July 31, 1949 in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of Glenn and Eleanor Johnston Thomas.
A graduate of Bexley High School, she worked a few months for F&R Lazarus & Co. In January following graduation, she was hired by City National Bank which became Banc One and then JPMorgan Chase, where she worked until her retirement in 2012.
Thalia first met the love of her life, Tom, in the sixth grade. They married in 1972 and started their family the following year.
An avid fan of Ohio State University football, Thalia enjoyed singing, knitting, playing cards and reading a good book. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a true wife, a kind, loving mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by 3 sets of great grandparents, her grandparents, parents and parents-in-law, Irving and Marion Brown.
Thalia is survived by her loving husband, Tom; children, Sean (Maggie), Brittany, Robyn, Heather (Mark), Colin (Andrea); grandchildren, Arielle, Jakob, Austen, Hailey, Eliya, Julia, Sock, Jaxon, Brian, Jess, Ray; great-granddaughter, Melody; brothers, Wesley (Vikki), David (Leticia), Robert; sister-in-law Patricia (Paul); nieces and nephews, Chad (Kenna), Mary, Tiffany (Aaron), Lorenzo (Richelle), Annadrea (Brandon), grand nieces and nephews, Savanna (Chris), Zakary, Brendan, David, Jayden, Evalyn, Nathaniel; great grand niece and nephews, Xavier, Felicia, Isaiah, Leon; aunts, Sue Thomas and Sandy Thomas and many cousins whom she loved dearly.
Family will receive friends 11 am-1pm Monday, March 18, 2024 at Schoedinger East, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where the funeral service will begin at 1pm. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
