Britney Spears: Too sexy for herself?

Britney Spears bares plenty of skin — too much, in her opinion — in her latest music video, Work B----.

Yesterday, she called The TJ Show on WODS (103.3 FM) in Boston and told radio hosts TJ and Loren that she had director Ben Mor edit the clip to make it less provocative.

“Oh, my God, we showed way more skin and did way more stuff for the video than what is actually there,” the 31-year-old singer said. “I cut out half the video because I am a mother and because, you know, I have children (sons Sean Preston, 8; and Jayden James, 7), and it’s just hard to play sexy mom while you’re being a pop star as well. I just have to be true to myself and feel it out when I do stuff. A lot of sex goes into what I do, but sometimes I would like to bring it back to the old days, when there was one outfit through the whole video and you’re dancing the whole video and there’s, like, not that much sex stuff going on.”

Her father and conservator, Jamie Spears, and her manager, Larry Rudolph, denied asking that she heighten the sexuality in her videos.
