It’s been 17 years since Thalía and Tommy Mottola celebrated their fairy tale wedding in New York City’s Saint Patrick’s Cathedral. The Mexican singer, 46, and the Italian music executive, 68, wished one another a happy anniversary with romantic social media posts on Dec. 2 remembering their big day.

“17 years ago, on a cold December night, in St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Manhattan, our dreams came true and we vowed to love each other forever. #HappyAnniversary my love, @TommyMottola! LOVE YOU,” Thalía wrote on Instagram with a video montage of the duo’s sweetest moments together. The video, which plays romantic ballad “Por Lo Que Reste de Vida” (“For the Rest of My Life”) in the background, shows the couple kissing on their wedding day and cute pics of their children, Sabrina, 10, and Matthew, 6.

Mottola returned the love with an affectionate Instagram post, sharing a video that captures the pair’s happiest memories —from the day they tied the knot in 2000 to recent vacations together. “HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!! I am the luckiest guy in the world to have this angel!! @thalia #marriage #partner #girlfriend #love #fun,” his caption reads.

“We love each other so much,” Thalía told PEOPLE in 2015, “No words can describe [our relationship], and it just gets better with age.”

Thalia’s friend, Univision’s TV host Lili Estefan, introduced the singer to Mottola in 1998.
